In a recent interview with Give Me Sport, renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano mentioned that Tottenham Hotspur remain keen on Crystal Palace playmaker Eberechi Eze. Romano said,
“They are preparing the list together with Thomas Frank. So at the moment, there could be plenty of names before they decide who is the player they want. For sure. One player they appreciate already, since last summer, is Eberechi Eze, who did fantastically this season at Crystal Palace. And so he remains one of the targets in the list at Spurs.
“But at the moment still not an active negotiation, because they are still assessing all the options and then deciding who is the player they want to sign.”
Eze had a fruitful campaign at the London club as he produced a series of impressive displays for them in the final third. The English playmaker made 43 appearances for Crystal Palace last season, netting 14 times and 11 assists in all competitions.
The 26-year-old proved his worth in the final third by averaging 3.48 shots per 90 minutes in the Premier League. However, he managed to keep just 27% of his attempts on target. Eze was tidy with his ball distribution after making 74.2% of his attempted passes in the English first division (stats via fbref.com).

Eze can strike the ball with power from long range and has got the eye to play some decisive passes on the offensive end of the field. He can make a few driving runs with the ball in and around the opponent’s penalty box.
The English sensation can contribute by scoring and creating his fair share of goals up top. He mainly plays as an attacking midfielder but can also fill in as a left-winger if needed.
Eze has got a wealth of experience in the Premier League and won’t take much time to adjust to life at Tottenham. We can expect him to bring more firepower to Thomas Frank’s attack. He is good enough to help the North London club challenge for some major trophies in the future.
At 26, Eze has his peak years ahead of him which makes him a dream choice for Spurs to consider in this summer transfer window.
