Tottenham Hotspur were consigned to a 2-1 defeat at home to relegation-scrapping Leicester City on Sunday afternoon, deepening the crisis gripping the north London club.
In this battle between two clubs yet to earn a Premier League victory in 2025, Spurs took the lead. A returning Richarlison took advantage of Leicester's pedestrian centre-back pairing to head the hosts in front on 33 minutes.
That marked the 18th time in 23 matches that the Foxes have conceded the opening goal of a Premier League game. However, Jamie Vardy needed less than one second-half minute to stab the visitors level, taking advantage of the slap-stick defending which had been evident throughout Sunday's contest.
Bilal El Khannouss completed Leicester's blistering turnaround with a second goal just five minutes after the restart. Striding forward unchallenged, Tottenham's centre-backs watched on, vaguely interested at best, as the Morocco international stroked the hosts in front.
The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium became an increasingly hostile place - although that animosity was aimed at the players in white rather than the visitors, whose porous rearguard wasn't overly tested.
