Fikayo Tomori believes Milan are proving their strength even if work on defending better continues.
Milan recorded their 3rd win in a row across all competitions last night when they demolished Serie B’s Sassuolo 6-1 at Stadio San Siro to advance to the Quaterfinals stage of the Coppa Italia.
Samuel Chukwueze (12′, 21′), Tijjani Reijnders (18′), Rafael Leão (23′), Davide Calabria (56′) and Tammy Abraham (61′) scored the goals for Milan, who mostly played bench players and unfortunately couldn’t keep a clean sheet and conceded from Samuele Mulattieri (59′).
“Of course we’re aiming to win the Coppa Italia. We want to win every game – we’re a strong team. We started today with a victory, and we’re happy about it,” Tomori told Italia 1 after the match.
What do you think of Milan’s defensive performances?“One of our objectives this year is to concede fewer goals than last season. Now we’re defending better as a team, as a defensive line. I’m not happy about the goal we conceded, but we’re working to improve.”
Atalanta is coming up…“We’re taking it game by game. Tonight, we showed that we’re a strong team, and we want to win.”
