TMW: ‘Sacrificing and replacing’ – Inter lurk as Ricci derby becomes possible | OneFootball

AC Milan are, understandably, not the only team following Samuele Ricci, and it seems they will also be challenged by Inter, creating another mercato derby.

There has been a continued focus on reinforcing the midfield in recent years, and Milan now have their next big target in their sights – Ricci. The Italian midfielder has been immensely impressive in recent years and a move away from Torino looks possible.

Whether that will be in the upcoming winter mercato or the summer remains to be seen. However, a move seems almost guaranteed at this point.

It has been reported that the Rossoneri lead the race at the moment, and there have been suggestions that they are looking to ‘lock up’ the midfielder to upgrade their midfield. Football is never as simple as that, though.

Manchester City lead the European opposition, but it seems they could face another threat from a European side, Inter. As TMW (via Milan News) report, the Nerazzurri are considering ‘sacrificing and replacing’ Hakan Calhanoglu, and the Toro star would be the smart replacement.

A January move is ‘certainly’ not likely, so perhaps, the Diavolo possibly have the upper hand. However, they will likely try a move in the summer.
