Time to use home advantage v Club Brugge!

Third UEFA quallifying round third leg on Wednesday

Our minimum aim of making the UEFA Europa League group stage has been achieved, and now we can look to top that off with qualifying once again for the Champions League. Our Red Bulls still have two more rounds to tackle for that to happen, with a really tough challenge ahead in the first of those in Club Brugge. The Belgians have been twice in the Champions League last 16 in the past three seasons, after all. We host them this Wednesday 6 August (19:00 CEST) at our Red Bull Arena, before the decisive second leg takes place next Tuesday in Brugge.

Both sides go into the clash having suffered a small dip in an otherwise strong start to the season. While we claimed a point in Ried, Club Brugge were beaten 1-2 at KV Mechelen in the second round of the Jupiler Pro League. The runners-up were missing a key defensive pillar in Joel Ordonez due to thigh problems, with striker Gustaf Nilsson also on the injury list at the moment. You can find out more on our opponents in our opposition profile.

Club Brugge inevitably bring back memories of our UEFA Europa League last 32 encounter in 2019. Back then we were beaten 1-2 away before taking a resounding 4-0 home win. This time we will instead be looking to make our home advantage count before travelling to Belgium to finish the job.

We will need your support for that. All the information on coming to the stadium can be found in our latest matchday info. Anyone who has yet to book their seat can still do that in our online Ticket Shop!

2025/26 digital season tickets

The best way to follow all our home matches is with a season ticket, of course. Please note there is an important change in how you use these to access the stadium this season.

We've already secured a place in the Europa League group stage, and that is definitely a very positive start. Now our goal is to make it to the Champions League play-offs. We'll be up against a really good team that came a long way in this competition last season. We're confident enough though to say we can make it against Brugge.

Even though Club Brugge haven't had a good start in the league, they still have a strong team and many really strong players. They have a lot of experience in this competition too thanks to last season's Champions League. I'm certain we will have to put in our best possible performance in both matches to progress. Even though it feels good to be definitely playing in a league stage, we still want to get the most out of our European campaign.
