The Football Association provided the latest ticket update via a post on the Barclays Women’s Super League’s official Twitter account this afternoon.
A five-figure crowd will be in attendance for a FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cup final for the very first time this weekend. The previous record attendance was recorded last season as 8,004 watched Manchester City defeat Chelsea 3-1 at AFC Wimbledon’s Cherry Red Records Stadium.
It is fair to say that the FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cup does not always receive the attention that it deserves but Sunday’s showpiece could be a game-changer for the competition with more fans watching on than ever before.
Arsenal find themselves in the final after seeing off both Aston Villa and Manchester City in the knockout stages. Chelsea have beaten both Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United on their way to the final. The two London rivals met in the fifth round of the Vitality Women’s FA Cup on Sunday with Chelsea winning 2-0 therefore Arsenal will be out for revenge this weekend.
The 2022/2023 FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cup final kicks-off at 3pm on Sunday afternoon. Limited tickets now remain and can be purchased by clicking here.
