Ticket sales for Chelsea’s blockbuster clash against Barcelona exceed 10,000

The Blues announced the news via a post on their official club Twitter account late last night.
Chelsea defeated European champions Lyon 4-3 on penalties in their quarter-final tie at Stamford Bridge on Thursday night. The Blues won the first leg 1-0 in France before Lyon secured a victory over 90 minutes in the reverse fixture by the same scoreline. Both sides netted in a breathtaking 30-minute spell of extra-time before Chelsea went on to win the resulting penalty shootout 4-3.
Tickets for Chelsea’s UEFA Women’s Champions League semi-final, first leg tie against Spanish giants Barcelona went on-sale following the conclusion of the Lyon tie and fans have raced to secure their places with more than 10,000 having booked their seats.
Chelsea will be out for revenge when they take on Barcelona later this month. The Blues were defeated by the Spanish club in the 2020/2021 UEFA Women’s Champions League final in Gothenburg. Chelsea lost 4-0 in Sweden as Barcelona claimed their one and only European title.
