Without doubt, this (see below) is the best thing you will read about Newcastle United today.
So much nonsense talked.
However, this is somebody speaking the truth, breaking through the layers of nonsense that so many people (including numerous Newcastle United fans) have been brainwashed with, overwhelmed by.
We salute you Mark McAdam.
The Sky Sports journalist delivering this superb Newcastle United reality check.
Mark McAdam talking on Sky Sports about Newcastle United – 20 August 2025:
“One thing I’d like to finish on with Newcastle United, I actually think they have had an exceptional (transfer) window.
“I actually think that if you take away the noise around Alexander Isak and the fact that they have missed out on a couple of players, they have done brilliant business.
“No Chief Exec (CEO), no Sporting Director, Andy Howe has stepped up to the plate.
“They have improved the goalkeeping department with Aaron Ramsdale.
“They have got Jacob Ramsey in as a replacement for Sean Longstaff, somebody who can play wide left and as a left 8.
“You have got Anthony Elanga who has come in for Miguel Almiron, who brings Premier League experience, his assists were sensational last season, pace to burn, energy and enthusiasm for that side.
“When you look at those players, as well as Malick Thiaw, one of the best defenders at AC Milan, one of the best defenders in Serie A.
“They have actually had an exceptional window where they have signed really good quality players who have improved their starting eleven.
“The Alexander Isak situation has completely overshadowed all of this.
“People are talking about one player, one player only, who wants out of the football club, when you have all of these other football players that are desperate to go and play (for Newcastle United).
“Yoane Wissa has his heart set on playing for Newcastle United.
“That may or may not transpire to happen, however, he wants to go and play for Eddie Howe.
“There are players who want to be up in the north east because of the type of football they play, how exciting they are to watch, they have Champions League football, a fanbase that is so passionate about their football club and their players.
“And I think all of the noise around Isak has left people forgetting all of the good work that they have done throughout the course of this summer and that will be a real frustration for Eddie Howe.
“But give it a couple of weeks time and the transfer window slams shut, and the players that are there, and they get the season going.
“Eventually they will all realise that actually the most important thing is Newcastle United.
“This is a football club with ambitious owners, that have invested heavily.
“This is a destination football club, not a stepping stone.
“They have spent huge amounts of money on the team and tried to create a side that can compete…and they’ve done that.
“The last 12 months – Silverware in the cabinet, Champions League football (qualification) two of the last three years.
