Information continues to emerge about the future of Rodrygo and Real Madrid. Although the player would like to continue with the club, both he and the club are aware that it is best for everyone if he leaves this summer, and Liverpool and Arsenal could be back in the running to sign the player in the final stages of the transfer window.

Rodrygo and Real Madrid

At Real Madrid, everything can change overnight, or from one season to the next. Just a year ago, no one could have predicted the situation Rodrygo would be facing in the dressing room, when the club had just won its last Champions League, with the winger as an undisputed starter and an important player. But last season changed everything, and now Rodrygo knows that he is not in Xabi Alonso‘s plans, at least not for a significant role within the squad, at least at the start of this season. The Basque coach made this clear at the Club World Cup, barely counting on him and leaving him without any playing time in several matches.

Rodrygo wants to stay at Madrid, but he knows perfectly well that the best thing for him, and also for the club, is to find a new destination for the season that is about to begin, because he is an important player, capable of playing in any team, but also because next summer there is a World Cup that he does not want to miss, and he knows that he must be important for Ancelotti to count on him.

Rorygo’s departure from Real Madrid

For months, there have been reports about the teams interested in signing the Brazilian winger for the new season. As Grada3 reported a few days ago, PSG seemed to be back on the list of candidates, even though they have never made an official offer for the Brazilian, nothing at all.

Now it seems that unexpected moves in the Premier League could have reawakened interest in signing Rodrygo, as is the case with Liverpool and Arsenal. But the truth is that the situation at Valdebebas has not changed at all. For the moment, there has been no offer, nor has there been any approach from either of these two clubs or any others, so the player continues to train with his teammates in preparation for the new season.

Pessimism about his future

Real Madrid are quite pessimistic that an offer will come in during the remainder of the transfer window and believe he will stay at the club this season. No offers have come in and they consider him to be a player of sufficient importance that, if there were any interested parties, they would have made a move by now.

His departure would be a radical turn of events, as, as things stand at the moment, the club considers its squad of 25 players to be complete, although his departure could encourage the club to make a last-minute signing to shore up a midfield that is raising serious doubts ahead of the current season.

For his part, Rodrygo, far from hanging his head, has returned to training highly motivated, with the intention of turning the situation around and winning the trust of Xabi Alonso, who, so far, has opted for other players. He believes he can do it because he has already been an important player at the club. The problem is that the change in system implemented by the Tolosa-born coach is detrimental to him, as he considers him to be a player in the mold of Mbappé and Vinicius, which means his playing time has been significantly reduced.

So, for the moment, no offers have arrived at Valdebebas, nor are any expected, although they would be more than welcome at the club, as they would free up space in the squad, reduce the wage bill, and bring some financial benefit to a club that has spent a lot, although it has kept its finances in order.
