Things to know if travelling to St Mary’s | OneFootball

Brentford take on Southampton at St Mary’s Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon (kick-off 3pm GMT).

The match will not be broadcast live in the UK

If you are heading to the match, here’s some useful information about getting to the ground and tips to make the most of your trip to Southampton.

Transport - Save 20 per cent on your journey to Southampton with Trainline

The club has partnered with Trainline to give you discounted rail travel on matchday.

Trainline want to make it even easier to travel green. As part of their I Came By Train campaign to help fight climate change, you can save 20 per cent on your journey when you book in advance with Trainline.

After you purchase your match ticket, you will be sent an email with your unique discount code within one to two working days. Each ticket holder will receive an email with their unique discount code. You can redeem your discount code when purchasing your rail ticket. Terms and conditions apply.

Travelling by train

Direct trains run from London Waterloo to Southampton Central station and take approximately two hours. Alternatively, departing from London Paddington with a change at Reading will take around 90 minutes.

The last direct train back to London on matchday is at 11pm, arriving at London Waterloo. Return tickets to London are likely to sell out. We recommend you use Trainline to book your ticket as soon as possible.

Local travel to the ground

You can walk from Southampton Central station to St Mary’s in 20 minutes.

Southampton FC run a dedicated shuttle bus for home and away supporters that will take you from Southampton Central to St Mary’s. Pick-up is from the south side of the station and services run every 10-15 minutes beginning two hours before kick-off. The shuttle will take you back to the station after the match, leaving from the location you were dropped off at.

Local buses are also available. Services 3, 16, 18 and 7 run from near Southampton Central. Alternatively, you can use the taxi rank outside of the station.

Travelling by car

Southampton FC advise visiting fans not to travel by car to the match due to parking restrictions and road closures in the area surrounding St Mary’s.

If you do choose to drive to St Mary’s stadium, you can make use of a local city council car park.

Ticketing information

For any ticketing enquiries on matchday, the ticket office is located on the south side of the stadium between the Chapel and Kingsland stands, opening at 9.30am.

Any duplicate ticket requests must be sent to Southampton by the Brentford box office. Please contact Brentford's box office with any enquiries ahead of matchday.

If you’re collecting your ticket at St Mary’s, please remember to bring ID.

We would also like to remind fans travelling to the St Mary’s to observe and respect the family-friendly seating. Anyone who holds a ticket in the family-friendly area is reminded that they should be seated for the duration of the match.

Meet, eat and drink before the match

There are many options for food and drink in Southampton city centre where you can meet other Bees fans before the match.

There are no designated away pubs in the vicinity of St Mary’s.

Entering the ground

Brentford fans are advised to enter and leave the stadium via Melbourne Street (south).

Enter the ground using the turnstiles at Block E.

Fans will be searched on entry and bags larger than A4 size will not be permitted. There is no bag storage at the ground.

Accessibility

Limited blue badge parking is available for away supporters at St Mary’s. You must contact accessibility@brentfordfc.com to book a space. There are also a number of accessible parking options listed on Southampton’s accessibility information page.
