Fabio Treccani's women's U17s' season ends with defeat in the final. In Anagni (FR), in the contest for the Scudetto against Roma, the Giallorosse reigned victorious with a 2-0 win. A goal right at the end of both halves: Parente in the 47th and Mascenti in the 88th. Despite a few wasted chances, there is nothing but praise for the tenacity of our Rossonere who made it so far this year.
The journey this season was a great one, but it came to an end in the final (just like two years ago) against Roma, a team with real potential which was proven in the match in Anagni. At this age group, the Rossonere really are a great side, after the 2022 Scudetto and the final in 2023 (as previously stated). This match, after the women's U15 Scudetto, officially closed our 2024/25 season. Despite the loss, the team can have their heads held high after a year to remember. MATCH REPORT It was a tense first half, at least for the first half hour. Roma were mostly shooting from distance, never worrying Lopez. AC Milan were then dangerous in two chances in particular, in the 35th minute through Strauss, whose shot from the edge of the area took a deflection and just went wide of keeper Pezzi's left post. The best chance came in the 37th minute when Montaperto broke free on the edge of the box and had a chance to shoot from a great position: her effort just went wide. A similar chance, but for the other team, in added time: Parente burst down the left, avoiding two tackles and found the bottom corner from outside the box. The Giallorosse up at the break.
In the second half, the first chance came to the substitute Dancelli, but she was offside just a few steps from the keeper. AC Milan, despite much consistency, did manage to create dangerous chances; in the 64th minute, Roma incredibly missed a tap-in through Grilli who fired over. In the 75th minute, Di Falco, with an unguarded net, sees her effort come back off Andreangeli but she couldn't manage to score. In the 83rd minute, Rebecca Rai's effort was off target, but in the 88th minute came the goal that ended the game: Mascenti burst down the left, cut inside, and shot precisely into the net: Lopez could do nothing about it. After their second, Montaperto was sent off. And so it ended, Roma won.
