Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah is enjoying a terrific season, but his future at the club remains uncertain.
He is in the final few months of his contract at Anfield, and he will be available to speak to clubs outside England to reach a pre-agreement in January.
The Reds hero is loved and adored by the fans, and he has repeatedly said that he wants to stay at Anfield.
Salah has been linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain, but journalist Fabrizio Romano says that no talks have taken place with the player and the French club.
The transfer guru says Liverpool are in talks with Salah’s agent, but no breakthrough has taken place.
He says that the length of the contract is not a big deal, but the ‘real issue’ lies in the financial part of the deal and the timing.
Liverpool and Salah have immense love and respect for each other, but the club cannot dish out crazy money for a 32-year-old, even though he is still playing at the peak of his power.
The two parties need to come to a compromise, and that can be reached. Salah wants to stay at Liverpool, win trophies and become a club legend in the truest sense.
He has got a few good years left in him and can break many records. If both parties can reach a middle ground, it could be the best possible outcome anyone can wish for.
Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk and right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold are also out of contract at the end of the season.
Van Dijk appears very relaxed about his situation, and he admitted that talks have taken place over an extension.
Alexander-Arnold’s situation is more difficult. He is a homegrown player whose best years are ahead of him.
He has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid, and a potential exit cannot be completely ruled out.
