“I’m very happy to be a part of FC Bayern now. Bayern is one of the biggest clubs in the world, and I’ve always said that I want to compete and prove myself at the highest level during my career,” Kane said in his Bayern unveiling, having been handed their famous No.9 shirt.

“This club is defined by its winning mentality – it feels very good to be here.”

He’ll certainly be well-remunerated over the course of his stint in Germany, with his wages of almost half-a-million Euros a week making him one of the very top-paid players in world football.

The 30-year-old striker will pick up a heftier pay packet than any player in the Premier League, with only Kylian Mbappe, Neymar (whose move to Al-Hilal is reportedly imminent) and Frenkie de Jong earning more in Europe’s top five leagues.

But how does his €25million-a-year salary compare to his competitors in the German top flight? We’ve taken a closer look at how his wages stack up against the rest of the top 25 earners in the Bundesliga.

Kane just comfortably beats long-serving Bayern stalwarts Thomas Muller and Manuel Neuer to become the Bundesliga’s top earner.

The Bundesliga’s top earners list brings into sharp focus Bayern’s dominance in Germany. They’ll be chasing a 12th successive league title in 2023-24 and their financial superiority puts them well-placed to do so – the perennial champions are responsible for the top 11 earners in the Bundesliga, and their wage bill is over double that of their closest competitors, Borussia Dortmund.

Here’s the full breakdown of the Bundesliga’s top 25 best-paid players – featuring their weekly and annual wages (in brackets). Their estimated salaries are via Capology.
