Takefusa Kubo is leaning towards a Premier League transfer this summer as the winger considers his future at Real Sociedad.
The Japan international is assessing his options after Sociedad’s failure to secure European football for next season.
He recently signed with Sport360 as new representatives ahead of a potential summer transfer.
Kubo has been tracked extensively by several Premier League clubs, with Liverpool, Arsenal and Newcastle United among those who have monitored his performances.
Newcastle are keen to sign a right-sided forward this summer, with former target Bryan Mbeumo having declared his desire for a move to Manchester United.
Last season, the 24-year-old ranked in the top one percent of wingers across Europe’s top five leagues for progressive carries, successful take-ons and attacking penalty area touches per 90 minutes.
He scored seven times in all competitions for Sociedad and added four assists. Kubo was also the most fouled player in La Liga during the 2024/25 season.
Kubo has a release clause of €60m in his contract in San Sebastien, though Sky Germany claim he could be available for around €30m to €40m (£25.2m to £33.7m).
Bayern Munich also have Kubo on their shortlist of options amid uncertainty surrounding the futures of Leroy Sane and Kingsley Coman. However, Kubo is understood to be giving preference ot a move to English football, amid ‘multiple enquiries’.
