Legendary former Arsenal and Barcelona forward Thierry Henry is in absolutely awe of Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham, saying that the 20-year-old has absorbed pressure quite easily.
Speaking during Monday Night Football on Sky Sports, Henry, alongside former Liverpool captain Jamie Carragher analysed Bellingham’s impact at Real Madrid and the duo seemed extremely impressed by the 20-year-old.
“Jude Bellingham, I think… Yeah, take a bow and I am not a Real Madrid guy we all know that,” said Henry.
The former forward explained his reaction when he first saw Bellingham for England, agianst San Marino, and he assessed that the youngster was always willing to get into the thick of action.
“The first time I saw him play for England was against San Marino and he wanted every single ball. He never shies away from taking the ball.
“Footballers have it easy in England. The pressure that you have to endure in Spain [is bigger], especially the expectations. This is what makes it more special. You take number 5 of Zinedine Zidane? And you celebrate like this? Oh, well done mate,” he added.

Amidst his appraisal of Bellingham, Henry also pressed that Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti deserves equal praise for his ability to seamlessly slot the midfielder into his system.
When Bellingham arrived, it was expected that he would replace the ageing legs of either Luka Modrid or Toni Kroos, but Ancelotti gave him a different role altogether and there has been no looking back since.
Speaking about the same, Henry pressed that Ancelotti deserves equal praise for his effort to slot in Bellingham
“I think it is the system and this is why have to give a lot of credit to the managers. The system that Ancelotti put for him – 4-3-1-2 – he answered the call. That’s going to be your team with Vinicius Jr,” he explained.
