Sunderland are finally back in the big time after the Black Cats climbed the ladder to return to the Premier League, with the club securing vital reinforcements today after completing a deal for Reinildo Mandava.
The 31-year-old left-back arrives at the Stadium of Light on a free transfer after spending four seasons at Spanish giants Atlético de Madrid in the wake of three successful years in France with Lille.
Mandava put pen to paper on a two-year contract and is set to become the first-ever Mozambique international to feature in the Premier League.
A seasoned international, Mandava's pedigree should bolster the back line under boss Régis Le Bris as the club looks to guarantee safety during the upcoming 2025/26 Premier League campaign.
