The Eintracht defender helped Ecuador beat Honduras 2-1 in their final friendly ahead of the start of the Copa América.

UEFA EURO 2024 got under way in Germany last Friday, but it is not the only continental tournament on the summer calendar. The Copa América, being held in the USA this year, is just around corner, and Eintracht Frankfurt centre-back Willian Pacho will be there with Ecuador. The 22-year-old played the full 90 minutes of his side's 2-1 victory over Honduras on Sunday in what was the team's third and final warm-up game ahead of the tournament.

As such, the result stands the South Americans in good stead ahead of the competition, which will run from 20 June to 14 July. Ecuador's first game is against Venezuela on Saturday night, while they will also face Jamaica and Mexico in Group B.

The next international fixture with Eintracht involvement is on Wednesday, with Robin Koch and Germany preparing for their second EURO 2024 group game against Hungary. Kick-off is in Stuttgart at 18:00 CEST.
