Brighton have confirmed the departure of striker Deniz Undav in a deal worth up to €30m (£25m).

Undav made just 22 appearances for the Seagulls in his two years at the club, scoring five goals in the process.

He spent last season with VFB Stuttgart, where the German international scored 18 times in 30 outings as he helped them qualify for the Champions League for the upcoming campaign.

Now, he has returned on a permanent basis, with the striker signing a three year deal in Germany after a long negotiation between the two clubs, which will eventually see Stuttgart pay up to £25m for his services, a record fee for the Bundesliga outfit.
