Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed that goalkeeper Katelin Talbert’s loan spell in North London has come to an end.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Lilywhites this afternoon.

The 26-year-old American keeper joined Spurs on loan from neighbours West Ham United last summer. The loan deal was initially set to run until 31 December 2024. It has now been confirmed that the arrangement has not been extended and Talbert has returned to her parent club.

In her time at Spurs, Talbert made one appearance for the club in the group stage of the Subway Women’s League Cup. The player was also an unused substitute on nine occasions.

Talbert is yet to appear for parent club West Ham United. After joining the East Londoners from Portuguese club S.L. Benfica in summer 2023, the keeper was swiftly sent out on loan to Swedish side Djurgårdens IF to build the appearance criteria required to allow her to play in the Barclays Women’s Super League. At this stage, it is not known whether Talbert will now compete for minutes at West Ham United or undergo a further development plan.

West Ham United return to competitive action following the Christmas break when they play host to Liverpool in the Adobe Women’s FA Cup fourth round on Sunday 12 January 2024. Talbert could play a part in The Hammers’ matchday squad if selected.
