Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou admitted his frustration following his side’s 2-2 home draw against Roma in the Europa League.
Both teams had plenty of goalscoring opportunities throughout the clash. However, a late goal from Mats Hummels earned the Giallorossi a well-deserved point against the hosts, who were coming off an impressive 4-0 league victory over Manchester City.
“It’s obviously frustrating, particularly when they score so late,” commented Postecoglou to TNT Sports.
“It was a good game, we probably should have put it to bed a lot earlier. We missed some big chances and at 2-1, you’re always keeping them in the game. So it’s disappointing not to see it out.”
Adding, “However, we’re still in a decent position (in the Europa League table). From a depth perspective, we’re still quite thin and we had a few youngsters on the bench.”
“Nonetheless, I still think we had enough of the game and enough clear-cut chances to win.”
