Spain and Belgium equal Women's EUROs record in goal fest 🔥 | OneFootball

Spain's 6-2 victory over Belgium was not only the game of the Women's European Championships so far, but it equalled some tournament history.

The eight goals scored saw them tie three other game's in the 43 years of the EUROs - Norway 5-3 Italy in 2005, England 2-6 Germany in the 2009 final, and most recently, England's 8-0 hammering of the Norwegians on their way to success in 2022.

That Spain's feat sees them join two former winners in a special category is a potential good omen, as is their incredible strength in depth and attacking talent, which has seen them hit 11 goals in their opening two games.

The Belgians more than played their part, twice equalising, but it feels like the world champions could soon be European champions.

It will take a special team to stop them making more history this summer.
