Experienced Manchester United midfielder Casemiro is still reflecting on his future at Old Trafford after receiving fresh offers from the Middle East.

The 32-year-old is considered one of the best midfield enforcers in his generation. But while he was absolutely ‘world-class’ during his illustrious spell at Real Madrid, he has been suffering from a sharp physical decline in recent years.

Last season, Ruben Amorim hailed Casemiro as an ‘exemplary’ player, but also admitted that he had to abandon his high-pressing plans to accommodate the veteran who no longer has the legs to cover large areas of the pitch.

Man United must bring in a younger alternative to Casemiro

Hence, Casemiro’s regular presence in the starting lineup illustrates the lack of options at Amorim’s disposal more than anything else.

Nevertheless, Man Utd are trying to adjust the situation by bringing in a younger and more energetic midfielder. Although they missed out on Carlos Baleba, they will try their luck for alternative options, perhaps the likes of Lucien Agoume, Adam Wharton and Morten Hjulmand.

Therefore, Casemiro might soon find himself surplus to requirements, especially in the absence of European football this season.

According to sources close to Stretty News, the Brazil international is willing to consider other options, especially after receiving an offer from NEOM FC.

The rebranded club is a newly rising powerhouse in Saudi football. They were promoted to the top flight last season, but they’re already making a splash on the transfer market, signing the likes of Marcin Bulka and Alexandre Lacazette.

Casemiro’s Man Utd exit remains possibe

For their part, United wouldn’t mind selling Casemiro and ridding themselves of his hefty £300k-per-week salary. However, they will also require a transfer fee in the region of £15 million to avoid registering a capital loss.

But while the midfielder’s departure remains possible, our sources reveal that the situation is progressing rather slowly, so the parties might eventually run out of time.

In this case, the former Real Madrid star would linger at Carrington and see out the remaining year in his contract, which wouldn’t be a tragic scenario for the player by any means.
