There is yet to be a final decision made on Sofyan Amrabat’s loan deal with Manchester United, with the possibility remaining that the Moroccan could remain at the club. Amrabat became a prominent force for United in the latter parts of the season, helping Erik ten Hag’s side to an FA Cup trophy in a performance Paul Scholes described as Gattuso Esque.

Neither side has come to a conclusion on whether the deal will be made permanent as of yet, as far as we understand here at AttackingFootball, and the final decision is expected to be made by Dan Ashworth, as was first reported by Samuel Luckhurst.

Amrabat Future Unresolved:

United paid £8.5m to Fiorentina last season for the loan deal to happen, and the buy-option in the deal remains at £21.4m. The player wants to stay at United next season, as the club has been a dream for him to play for since he was a young kid in Morocco.

In regards to the midfield, United are said to be closing in on a deal to sign Manuel Ugarte from PSG, with discussions already taking place between both United and the French club. It’s currently unknown whether United would look to sign another midfielder should Amrabat be signed permanently, with a deal for Youssouf Fofana now unlikely, with AC Milan leading the race for the £25m rated Monaco midfielder.

Morten Hjumland is another target for United, but with the Sporting CP midfielder’s fee set to be over £60m, it’s a move United are unlikely to pursue this summer. The future of Amrabat remains unresolved, but a decision is expected in the coming days.
