In a recent development, it has been learned through Real Madrid Confidencial that Real Madrid forward Rodrygo has caught the attention of Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal as a potential signing following Neymar’s departure.
Saudi Arabia remains determined to attract top football stars to their league, continuing their ambitious football expansion project.
After previously approaching Vinicius Jr., who turned down a lucrative offer, the Saudis have now set their sights on Mohamed Salah and Rodrygo.
Salah is seen as a more natural fit due to his age, cultural ties, and strong influence in the region. His addition would bolster Saudi Arabia’s aim of having world-renowned football ambassadors.
However, despite Salah being the top priority, Saudi clubs have not ruled out a move for Rodrygo. The 24-year-old Brazilian winger fits perfectly into their strategy of bringing in young talent with international experience.

Al-Hilal, in particular, are said to be leading the pursuit, believing that Rodrygo’s youth, quality, and experience in top-tier competitions make him an ideal signing.
His impressive achievements with Real Madrid, including two Champions League titles, add to his appeal.
Adding to the complexity, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) are also reportedly interested in Rodrygo. The French giants are planning to pursue the forward next summer.
While they are unwilling to trigger his release clause, PSG are prepared to offer up to €100 million to secure his services.
Nonetheless, PSG are fully aware that Real Madrid will not make any potential transfer easy, given the strained relationship between the two clubs.
With this background, the pursuit of Rodrygo is shaping up to be a fierce competition between the Saudi side and PSG.
While Rodrygo remains a crucial figure for Real Madrid, his growing market interest highlights his value in international football.
Both Saudi Arabia and PSG appear ready to test Real Madrid’s resolve, making his future a topic of significant speculation.
