A source close to one Chelsea player has apparently said that Chelsea have not delivered his expectations this summer.
There is a lot going on this week in the aftermath of the first summer transfer window closing on Tuesday night ahead of the Club World Cup.
Chelsea failed to sign Mike Maignan and Jamie Gittens after being in talks, but there are other situations ongoing right now, such as the future of Trevoh Chalobah, who is wanted by Napoli this summer.
There was also a report out earlier in the week detailing the stats that prove Chelsea should have, and still can, sign Maignan from AC Milan this summer simply because he’s a big upgrade.

The club have annoyed Kendry Paez this summer by saying that he would be coming to the Club World Cup with them but then changing their minds and not letting him go.
Paez has not even kicked a ball for Chelsea yet but the club have frustrated him by doing this as they sort out a loan move away for him this summer.
It looks like Renato Veiga has also been left annoyed by not being in the Club World Cup squad with Chelsea this summer.
The BBC report that a source close to the player says the defender had expected to return to Chelsea to play in the competition after winning the Nations League with Portugal.
The source apparently added that Juventus had wanted to at least extend Veiga’s loan for the duration of the Club World Cup, but an expectation the Blues would not release him for the newly expanded tournament in the United States made him less attractive to sign.
