AC Milan face a very difficult task convincing Feyenoord to sell Santiago Gimenez during the January transfer window, it is claimed.
Alvaro Morata and Tammy Abraham both failed to score for Milan against Parma today and both are struggling to provide signs that they can prove the goals necessary to lead the line moving forward.
The links with Gimenez have intensified in recent days, and there has even been talk of an initial bid being rejected plus the desire to go back in with a new and improved bid before the window closes.
According to Peppe Di Stefano on Sky (via MilanNews), Gimenez to Milan is ‘a complicated affair’ because ‘there are monstrous figures at stake’ and Feyenoord ‘s desire is ‘not to sell the player at all’ this month.
The Sky correspondent adds that it will also be complicated to convince Bologna to sell Riccardo Orsolini, amid the reports that there could be a player-plus-cash offer going in for the Italian winger.
For the midfield, the main name that the Rossoneri are looking at is Samuele Ricci of Torino. However, he seems to be more of an objective for the summer rather than someone to arrive in the next few days.
