Simons travels with squad to Lens amid exit rumours, reports Sky Germany

Sky Germany journalist Philipp Hinze has confirmed that Xavi Simons is flying to France today, August 8, with RB Leipzig.

There, Leipzig will face Ligue 1 opposition RC Lens in their final pre-season match in their preparations for the 2025-26 campaign.

Xavi is in the squad and, unless something unexpected happens, is expected to play at the Stade Bollaert-Delelis.

As long as no suitable offer is on the table, Xavi is set to remain a regular member of Ole Werner's team.

The Dutchman missed training during the week due to a cold but recovered in time to be available for the trip.

Chelsea, who have already signed Jamie Gittens from the Bundesliga this summer, are still interested in the Netherlands midfielder.
