Championship side Middlesbrough have made an offer which could go well above £10m for the services of Liverpool midfielder Tyler Morton, according to the Times.
Michael Carrick’s Boro want to stay in the promotion picture in the Championship and are aiming to strengthen.
Morton has had impressive loan spells in the division at both Blackburn Rovers and Hull City, and Carrick rates him.
Now Middlesbrough are trying to tempt Liverpool to sell Morton and have gone in with a proposal.
The offer on the table could see Liverpool earn ‘significantly above’ £10m for the midfielder due to bonuses and add-ons included in it.
Morton is keen to be playing regular football.
He has found himself on the fringes under Arne Slot at Anfield, with game time at a premium.
The jury is out though on whether Liverpool will cut the cord completely with the talented midfielder.
