Sevilla handed injury boost ahead of Real Valladolid clash | OneFootball

La Liga outfit Sevilla have on Thursday been afforded a timely boost on the personnel front.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who have confirmed that Djibril Sow has returned to training alongside the rest of García Pimienta’s squad.

Sow, for his part, was forced into a premature departure from Sevilla’s most recent outing.

En route to a 4-1 defeat at the hands of Barcelona, the Swiss international was the victim of a heavy challenge on the part of Fermín López, which culminated in the latter being shown a straight red card.

Sow, in turn, was put through a round of medical tests, since sitting out training across the week to date.

As much gave rise to concerns over a potentially lengthy incoming spell on the sidelines for the midfielder.

In turn, it came as both a surprise and a source of relief for all of a Sevilla persuasion upon Sow taking to the training pitch alongside his teammates on Thursday morning.

The 28-year-old is now expected to be passed fit to play his part against Real Valladolid on Sunday.
