RBL boast a convincing record when it comes to past meetings with Werder Bremen; however, the Green-Whites currently find themselves in a rich vein of form. "We want to get the win in Bremen. They are strong at home and the fans will deliver a great atmosphere, so it should be an exciting one," emphasised our striker Benjamin Šeško.The Slovenia international managed a feat last time out that Erling Haaland most recently achieved, while Xavi has been racking up impressive numbers since the campaign's midway mark. Find all the key facts ahead of #SVWRBL below.

1. Impressive track record against Werder

  1. Of 15 previous Bundesliga meetings with Werder Bremen, the Red Bulls have managed a total of 10 wins, while losing just twice. RBL have gone unbeaten over the course of the entirety of the last 10 fixtures against the Green-Whites, winning eight of these match-ups. The team will look to extend this impressive streak on Saturday. In each of the seven seasons in which both of these sides have competed in the German top-flight, we have always finished the campaign higher in the standings than Werder. This term appears to be headed for the same end result.

2. In-form opposition

  1. Despite depleted chances of attaining European football for next season as a result of their most recent draws with St. Pauli (0-0) and away to Union Berlin (2-2), the northern club nevertheless find themselves in a rich vein of form. They have not only gone six Bundesliga fixtures unbeaten, but also emerged victorious on four consecutive occasions before recording two straight draws.Werder's 47 points already see them better off than at the end of last term (42) and could reach the 50-point-mark for the first time in six years.

3. Šeško knows where the net is

  1. Our bruiser in the box Benjamin Šeško has scored in three of the last five matches and sits top of the club charts with 21 goals in competitive fixtures this term. However, that is not all. The Slovenia striker made history last time out when he netted for the third Bundesliga game running against FC Bayern München, which is a feat last achieved by Erling Haaland for Borussia Dortmund between 2020 and 2021.Šeško has also found the net in each of the past two fixtures with Bremen and so could match that same scoring run which he managed against Bayern. 4. Surprising top scorer and familiar faces

  1. Jens Stage sits top of the scorers' list for Werder this season with nine goals; however, that may come as a surprise to some due to his midfield role. The 28-year-old now has the chance to equal the tallies racked up by some big names from Bremen's past. The last SVW midfielders to finish the campaign on 10 strikes were Aaron Hunt and Kevin de Bruyne, both during 2012/13.We are particularly looking forward to the fixture with regard to a reunion with André Silva. Our striker joined the Green-Whites on loan in January. Anthony Jung (2013-2017) and Oliver Burke (2016/17) mark two further former Red Bulls in the Green-Whites' ranks.

5. Xavi's super supply line

  1. Xavi provided two assists last time out in the Bundesliga as we drew 3-3 with Bayern. Since the turn of the year, he has already directly contributed to goals at least twice in five separate matches, which is more often than any other player in the division. With 12 goals contributions to his name in 2025 (seven goals, five assists), the Dutchman is hot on the heels of Dortmund's Serhou Guirassy (14) and Bayern's Michael Olise (13) in this regard.Xavi bagged his first of two braces in the German top-flight when we last faced Bremen - a good indication that his purple patch in front of goal may be set to continue.
