On Friday, July 4, 2025, the official group stage schedule for the inaugural Serie A Women’s Cup was released. The new competition will complement the existing Serie A Women and the Italian Cup, featuring all 12 top-flight teams from the upcoming 2025/26 season.
The tournament will begin over the weekend of 23–24 August, 2025, and will be played in two phases.
In the first stage, teams have been seeded into three groups of four, based on their 2024/25 league finish, with the top team from each group plus the best runner-up advancing to the Final Four.
The semi-finals and final will be single-leg knockout matches.
The 12 clubs taking part in the first-ever Serie A Women’s Cup are:
Juventus, Inter, Roma, Fiorentina, Milan, Lazio, Como Women, Sassuolo, Napoli Femminile, Ternana Women, Parma, and Genoa.
Juventus, the reigning Serie A champions, have been drawn into Group A, alongside Lazio, Napoli Femminile, and Parma.
The Bianconere will be aiming for a strong start to their season as they chase another trophy in this newly created domestic competition.
