Manchester United have made additions to their attack in the last two transfer windows, but it is understood that they will look to add even more goals to the squad next summer.
Erik ten Hag has two recognised senior centre-forwards in his squad after signing Joshua Zirkzee in the summer. The other option, Rasmus Hojlund, has missed the start of the season due to injury.
Zirkzee came from Bologna, while United took Hojlund from Atalanta. This proves United have paid attention to the Serie A market in recent years.
Now, Lecce striker Nikola Krstovic has said his dream is to play for Manchester United in the future.
The 24-year-old Montenegro international joined Leece last summer, but he is already looking forward to potentially joining bigger clubs in the future.
Krstovic told CalcioLecce: “After the match against Torino he (Mirko Vucinic) told me ‘think about the next one’. Where would I never play? In Bari. My dream is Manchester United.
“It’s only the second year here in Leece. I am very happy, both me and my family. We have friends and we’re enjoying it, so let’s think about the present.”
Some players push away such speculation but it sounds like Krstovic welcomes United links with open arms.
Krstovic has scored nine goals and registered two assists since he joined Lecce.
