There are only three points separating these sides going into the showdown, so it is potentially a huge result in the race not just for Europe, but even potentially the Scudetto.

Juventus continue to have a lengthy absentee list, with Francisco Conceicao, Douglas Luiz, Nicolò Savona, Jonas Rouhi, Arek Milik, Gleison Bremer and Juan Cabal still out.

Kenan Yildiz is in the starting XI, despite not being at 100 per cent following a stomach bug over the last 48 hours, playing with Weston McKennie and Nico Gonzalez.

Surprisingly, it is Teun Koopmeiners who is dropped to the bench against his former club.

The experiment of using two strikers together is abandoned, so Kolo Muani leads the way with Dusan Vlahovic on the bench.

Renato Veiga and Pierre Kalulu are still working their way back to full fitness.

Atalanta could’ve been within a point of leaders Napoli last week, but were held to a surprise 0-0 home draw by Venezia instead.

They’ve had a poor 2025 so far, managing just four victories, six draws and five defeats between Serie A, the Supercoppa Italiana, Champions League and Coppa Italia.

La Dea have more than a few problems as well, as Stefan Posch added to the injury list with Odilon Kossounou, Giorgio Scalvini and Gianluca Scamacca.

Daniel Maldini returns for a spot on the bench, while Isak Hien is rushed straight back into the starting XI to bolster the defence.

As is often the case in big games away from home, Gian Piero Gasperini opts for an extra player to protect the midfield, but rather than Mario Pasalic, it is Juan Cuadrado against his old club, with Lookman and Capocannoniere Retegui upfront.

Juventus: Di Gregorio; Weah, Gatti, Kelly, Cambiaso; Locatelli, Thuram; Nico Gonzalez, McKennie, Yildiz; Kolo Muani

Atalanta: Carnesecchi; Djimsiti, Hien, Kolasinac; Bellanova, De Roon, Ederson, Zappacosta; Cuadrado, Retegui, Lookman
