Scotland v Poland – Team News, Kick-off Time and Where to Watch

Scotland returns to action this evening at Hampden. Steve Clarke’s side face Poland at the National Stadium in the Nations League with the Scotland manager keen to get some momentum behind his side after the fairly muted end to the campaign against Hungary.

Tone deaf comments from John Carver about no one being disappointed were not well received but Scotland can move beyond these by beating Robert Lewandowski and his Polish colleagues.

Scotland will be looking to bounce back from their disappointing Euros campaign with a result against the Polish side this evening. They will have to do that with a trio of Celts that were across in Germany – Callum McGregor, Greg Taylor and James Forrest.

The Celtic skipper called time on his international career last month in a surprise update. This decision has sparked a goalscoring renaissance from the 31-year-old, something that Clarke will have found bittersweet. Meanwhile, Taylor and Forrest withdrew earlier this week with knocks sustained against theRangers on Sunday.

Just Tony Ralston represents Celtic and he will be hoping to get something action on the pitch as he dutifully continues to deputise on club duty for Alistair Johnston.

Referee Details

Swedish referee Glenn Nyberg has been appointed for the clash. Nyberg will be assisted by Mahbod Beigi and Andreas Söderkvist. Kristoffer Karlsson is the fourth official with Dennis Johan Higler and Erwin Blank will be on VAR duties.

The game kicks off at 7:45pm (Hampden Park Time).

Fans feared that the game would fall foul of a blackout. However, ITV swooped and secured a deal to show the game on ITV4 and ITVX.
