Lorenzo Colombo spent last season on loan at Monza and it seems he could leave AC Milan once again this summer. According to a report, two clubs have expressed their interest in the young striker.

Colombo came through the youth ranks of Milan and after four loan spells, the striker has now reached a crossroads. He only scored four goals in 25 appearances for Monza this past season, including against the Rossoneri, so his future is a bit uncertain.

According to the Italian journalist Nico Schira, Hellas Verona and the newly-promoted Venezia have both expressed their interest in loaning the 22-year-old. Given his potential, it’s not hard to see why and it remains to be seen if Milan believe another loan is the right step.

As alluded to, although he’s still very young, Colombo must add more consistency to his game as he’s currently not good enough for Milan’s first team. Monetising his departure will also be a bit more difficult without a proper good season, which the Rossoneri are holding out for.

Having seen what Colombo can do on a good day, it’s not unrealistic to think that the Rossoneri could cash in €15-20m (at least) if he does well next season.
