The run from Savinho and the ball he played to Haaland to make it 3-nil showed another side to his game. It was a pinpoint ball after a mazy and direct run at the West Ham defence. The best of Savinho was on show for all three moments and that is the biggest positive to take from City’s win over West Ham.

Savinho had shown glimpses of what he is capable of over Manchester City’s past two games. But he took that to another level against West Ham today. Savinho’s performance was crucial to his team’s win over West Ham. What the Brazilian international showed today is that he belongs at Manchester City.

The flashes of Savinho’s talent have been evident since he arrived at the Etihad. But now he has now proven that he belongs at the world champions. For a 20 year-old player that is huge for Savinho’s confidence. He is also becoming the player Pep Guardiola’s side needs which was on full display today at the Etihad.
