Saint-Étienne will not let Lucas Stassin and Zuriko Davitashvili leave | OneFootball

According to Foot Mercato, Lucas Stassin (20) and Zuriko Davitashvili (24) are not for sale this summer, with AS Saint-Étienne expecting the two forwards to be part of next season’s attempt to return to the top flight of French football.

Despite being unable to maintain their place in Ligue 1 on the final day of the season, Saint-Étienne are in no rush to tear down their squad. The club will not look to capitalise on interest in two of their biggest performers, as the new ownership looks to a swift return to the top.

Stassin had reportedly been of interest to Brentford FC and Brighton & Hove Albion, while Davitashvili’s performances had caught the attention of RC Strasbourg Alsace and Eintracht Frankfurt. However, neither will be likely to leave; Les Verts will reportedly only sell players who they want to leave and those who have contracts coming to an end.

The aim is to build on those young players who arrived at the club during the summer window, like Davitashvili, who joined from FC Girondins de Bordeaux, and Stassi,n who came from Belgian club KVC Westerlo.
