Victor Osimhen’s transfer saga was one of last summer’s biggest stories, with Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain reportedly competing for the Nigerian striker. Now, after recently rediscovering his impressive 2022-23 form at Galatasaray, he’s set to attract even more interest from Europe’s top clubs next year.

After his failed move away from Napoli, the 25-year-old joined Galatasaray on loan, where he’s been in sensational form. He’s already scored 10 goals and provided five assists in just 14 appearances for the Turkish club this season.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, Osimhen’s release clause is around €80 million in January, which could drop to €70 million next summer. RMC Sport also reported this week that PSG has contacted Osimhen, who is aware of their interest but remains happy in Turkey, where he’s been warmly received.

CaughtOffside recently revealed that Arsenal and Chelsea are also exploring forward options, with Osimhen and Juventus striker Dušan Vlahović on their radar.

Are Manchester United a serious contender for Victor Osimhen?

TEAMtalk reports that Manchester United are set to become a candidate in the Osimhen saga as Ruben Amorim has shared his top three transfer targets with INEOS:

  • Victor Osimhen
  • Ronald Araujo
  • Tyler Dibling

Furthermore, the report claims that Manchester United are prepared to invest around £166 million to secure these players.

As for PSG, a move to the French capital is far from straightforward. For one, it’s unclear if Luis Enrique, who showed hesitation last summer, would approve the striker’s signing.

Additionally, there’s the issue of Osimhen’s contractual situation. He is still officially a Napoli player, meaning any potential deal would require a three-way negotiation involving Galatasaray as well.
