PSG pick up vital win

Paris Saint-Germain got back to winning ways in style with a 2-0 win at in-form Nice.

Lionel Messi's 14th goal of the season settled Parisian nerves (26') before Sergio Ramos headed PSG's second goal 14-minutes from time.

"Of course it was an important win for the title race but also because of our two previous below-par performances," said a relieved PSG boss Christophe Galtier. "Nice hadn't lost here since September and were in great form. The players reacted, were determined, showed solidarity and combativeness. We certainly didn't put in our best performance of the season, but at this stage of the season, points are the most important thing."

Lens stay on PSG's coattails

Lens made it four wins on the bounce with a 2-1 home victory over Strasbourg.

Goals from Przemysław Frankowski (11') and Facundo Médina (65') put Franck Haise's men in a commanding position before Kévin Gameiro netted six-minutes from time to reduce the arrears.

"There are eight matches left so we will talk about it a little later," said Lens coach Franck Haise when quizzed on his side's title chances. "We're not ruling anything out. We can always dream but we know how difficult it is to win games. I hope that we play the last eight games with courage, personality and quality. For now, we have what we deserve after 30 rounds but we also have to deserve it after 38."

Nantes deny Monaco

Nantes staged a dramatic second-half comeback to draw 2-2 with Monaco at Le Beaujoire.

Monaco took the lead in the 21st minute when Axel Disasi rifled home from close range. Eliot Matazo then added a second for the principality side on the half-hour. But Nantes began their comeback in the 65th minute through Mostafa Mohamed before Ludovic Blas headed the equalising goal 12-minutes from time.

Jubilation for Angers

Angers picked up their first win since September with a surprise 1-0 home victory over LOSC.

Halid Sabanovic was Angers' hero as he netted an 84th-minute winner to put a dent in LOSC's bid for European qualification.

Lyon stage fight back

Lyon fought back from a goal down to beat Rennes 3-1 at the Groupama Stadium.

Former Lyon striker Amine Gouiri fired Rennes in front (11') but the best was yet to come from the hosts. Goals from Corentin Tolisso (60'), Alexandre Lacazette (68') and Bradley Barcola (79') handed Laurent Blanc's side an emphatic victory.

Reims salvage late draw

Folarin Balogun's 18th goal of the season helped Reims claim a late point at home to Brest.

Auxerre boost survival hopes

Auxerre picked up a vital 3-0 win at the expense of fellow strugglers Ajaccio.

Birama Touré fired Auxerre in front (3') at the Stade François Coty before Nuno da Costa added a second three-minutes later. Mickaël Alphonse's own-goal on the stroke of half-time completed the scoring for the visitors.
