Rory Wilson reaches agreement with Aston Villa | OneFootball

No longer being the case, Wilson will now look to continue to impress at the younger levels while looking for the opportunity to earn a senior cap.

While the talks paused at Villa, it was widely reported that Wilson had interest from a number of other clubs for the 19-year-old. Since the discussions have ended and started back up again, though, Monchi and the player's camp have reached an agreement, and the president of football operations has added another feather to his cap within his role.

While maybe not as known as some of the other maneuvers by the Spaniard, extending Wilson could end up proving to be one of the more solid moves for AVFC that Monchi has spearheaded. This is the exact type of player who needed to be secured. His potentially leaving for elsewhere for nothing has been prevented, and Emery has a quality attacking option waiting in the wings.
