According to information from 90min and European press outlets, Cristiano Ronaldo has officially extended his contract with Al-Nassr, dispelling recent speculation about a potential transfer. The Portuguese striker has signed on for an additional two seasons, keeping him at the club until June 2027. Discussions around Ronaldo’s renewal centered on both sporting and financial incentives, with Al-Nassr determined to build around their marquee player as part of a broader effort to strengthen the club’s competitiveness in domestic and continental competition.
While the exact terms were not disclosed by the club, European media report that Ronaldo’s annual salary will rise to €209 million. Additionally, his new deal includes a reported signing bonus of €28.7 million and a series of on-field performance bonuses. For example, he will collect €93,900 for each goal and €46,950 per assist across all competitions. Major team achievements also bring further financial rewards, including bonuses for winning or qualifying in the Saudi Pro League and AFC Champions League.
Beyond salary and bonuses, Ronaldo’s agreement includes off-pitch perks such as a dedicated personal staff. Reports list three drivers, four housekeepers, two chefs, three gardeners, and four security personnel as part of the package, highlighting the extent of the club’s investment not only in the player but in ensuring his overall comfort and support.
Another notable aspect of the contract is an equity component: Ronaldo is understood to have secured a 15% stake in Al-Nassr, a point that proved key during negotiations. This provision adds a layer of long-term alignment between the player and the club as they look ahead.
The renewal comes at a time when Al-Nassr are promising substantial changes. According to Marca, the club leadership has already begun an internal overhaul, recently parting ways with manager Stefano Pioli. The appointment of Jorge Jesus is reportedly close, as Al-Nassr aim to revitalize their trophy challenge after falling short in the 2024/25 campaign.
Ronaldo’s renewed commitment follows persistent links with top South American clubs ahead of the upcoming Club World Cup, but his decision to stay indicates confidence in Al-Nassr’s sporting project and his own continued standing at the pinnacle of the Saudi Pro League.
