Roma eyeing Aouar’s replacement in Palmeiras midfielder Richard Rios | OneFootball

Roma are on the hunt for a replacement of Houssem Aouar.

The Algerian midfielder is expected to soon join Al-Ittihad for a grand total of €15 million which will constitute all capital gain since the club signed him on a free transfer a year ago.

With Aouar off the books, Roma will shift their attention to another midfielder. This time, from Colombia.

According to Colombian outlet Antena 2, Roma are among the clubs to have shown interest in Richard Rios of Palmeiras.

The player is very appreciated around Trigoria, with Roma’s management monitoring his progress during Copa America.

Despite competition from Milan and Fiorentina, Roma may have an advantage in matching the player’s release clause of €30 million.

The generated revenue from Aouar’s sale could help fund Rios’ signing.
