Roma is accelerating its pursuit of Daniele Ghilardi.
After days of contact and negotiations, the Giallorossi club has decided to relaunch its offer to Verona to move closer to closing the deal.
As reported by Alfredo Pedullà, sporting director Frederic Massara has adjusted the offer to meet the needs of the Verona club, which faces a financial constraint from Fiorentina, which holds a 50% interest in the player’s future resale rights.
The main issue is not the total transfer fee—which is around €12 million, including the loan and the obligation—but rather the distribution of future revenues, should the 2003-born central defender be sold at a later date.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, further contact with Hellas Verona is expected this evening to officially close the deal.
