Robbie Fowler has been talking after Newcastle 3 Liverpool 3.
The former Liverpool player gutted that his team didn’t win.
However, Robbie Fowler giving Newcastle United full credit after an excellent performance.
Newcastle marginally the better team on the night and taking the lead twice, but Mo Salah to the rescue, with NUFC in the end needing a brilliant finish from Fabian Schar to get the point that was the very least they deserved.
Robbie Fowler talking on Amazon Prime after Newcastle 3 Liverpool 3:
“Arne Slot and Liverpool might have come here expecting to win this game, but Newcastle were very, very good and good value for the draw.
“It’s a good thing for Eddie Howe to say after the game that he is disappointed that Newcastle haven’t won it. They went toe-to-toe with one of the best sides in Europe right now and perhaps a draw was the fair result.
“But for their manager to say that they could’ve won the game and be disappointed in front of a capacity crowd at St James’ Park, it speaks volumes of that Newcastle performance.
“Mohamed Salah was unbelievable in the second half for Liverpool. He was a little bit-part in the first half, but was class after the interval.
“His stats and data are incredible. We talked about him getting that new contract and his agent should be there first thing in the morning to get him to sign that contract.
“He is that player who can change a game. He has moments and he is exceptional in those moments. He is a match winner.”
