Declan Rice welcomed Noni Madueke to Arsenal with a glowing endorsement, calling the winger’s £52m switch from Chelsea a “big statement” and backing him to be “incredible” for the club.

Madueke, 23, became Arsenal’s fourth signing of the summer and will wear the No. 20 shirt.

The England international spent two-and-a-half seasons at Stamford Bridge but has now joined Mikel Arteta’s squad ahead of the 25/26 season.

In a personal letter welcoming Madueke to the club, Rice wrote: “Welcome to the Arsenal family. Noni, my brother. I’m buzzing for you to join the club… You are going to be a massive part of [bringing] success to this club.” He added: “Knowing you as a person and as a player… I know you’re going to be incredible for us.”

Rice also encouraged his international teammate to reach out if he needed anything, signing off with:“Big love, bro. Dec.”

As you can see from the video below, Madueke looks really happy and excited to be a Gunner.
