Hence, the Iceland international’s displays caught the attention of several suitors, and chief among them are the Nerazzurri.

The Italian champions are keen to land the exciting striker this summer, while the player himself is willing to await Inter’s offer.

But according to Tuttposport via FcInter1908, Inter would have to offload ten players to make room for his arrival.

These departees could help the Nerazzurri afford Gudmundsson’s price which is around 35 million euros.

The Turin-based newspaper begins by naming four players who are deemed surplus to requirements. These are Joaquin Correa, Lucien Agoume, Zinho Vanheusden and Andrei Radu.

These four players are all returning from loan spells, so the Inter management will have to find them new accommodation, ideally on a permanent basis.

Moreover, the Beneamata will try to send five youngsters away on loan, potentially with options to buy. This list includes Filip Stankovic, Gaetano Oristanio,  Martin Satriano, Sebastiano and Francesco Pio Esposito.

Finally, Inter will try to sell Marko Arnautovic. The Austrian’s departure would be essential to open up a spot in the attacking department for Gudmundsson.

However, the veteran striker has often reiterated his desire to remain at the club despite falling further below in the pecking order following Mehdi Taremi’s arrival.

The former West Ham star’s contract is valid for another year.
