In the final frantic moments of the winter transfer market, Fiorentina had considered the possibility of signing Bryan Cristante.
The Roma midfielder had been put on the market after failing to convince the management following his return from injury.
According to TMW, the Tuscan club had identified the Giallorossi man as an ideal reinforcement for the midfield, in the event that the negotiations for Nicolò Fagioli had not been unblocked.
The operation included an exchange with Amir Richardson, the 23-year-old Moroccan midfielder who joined Fiorentina last summer from Reims, who would have moved to Roma in exchange for the former Atalantaplayer.
However, with Fagioli’s arrival in Viola, the negotiation remained just a market idea without any concrete developments.
The Giallorossi then signedthe Frenchman Gourna-Douath from Salzburg.
