The loan deal for Manuel Akanji will have an impact of around €11.25 million on the balance sheet of Inter Milan for the 2025-26 season.
This according to Italian outlet Calcio e Finanza. They add together the cost of the loan fee for the 30-year-old, and the player’s gross wages for the season.
Inter Milan are on the verge of completing a deal to sign defender Manuel Akanji.
The Nerazzurri will reportedly sign the Swiss international on an initial loan deal from Manchester City.
Additionally, the loan deal contains a purchase option. This would also become a mandatory obligation in the event that Inter win the Serie A title.
Inter are paying City a loan fee of €2 million for Akanji. Furthermore, the Nerazzurri would have to pay a fee of €15 million to sign the former Borussia Dortmund defender outright.
Then, Calcio e Finanza report, Inter will pay Akanji wages of €5 million net per season.

According to Calcio e Finanza, Inter will record the loan fee for Akanji on their next set of accounts in full.
Therefore, the Nerazzurri will register a €2 million expense.
However, Inter will not include the transfer fee as part of the purchase option.
Additionally, the gross amount that Inter pay Akanji for his €5 million net wages this season will be €9.25 million.
Therefore, the total impact of the deal on Inter’s next set of accounts will be €11.25 million.
