Inter made a late attempt to try and get Joao Felix from Chelsea but he had already made his mind up about where he wanted to go, reports claim.
There is a lot of excitement among Milan fans after the January transfer window, with five new signings having arrived and three of them on deadline day. One of them was Joao Felix, who already has an impressive CV having played for the likes of Chelsea, Atletico Madrid and Barcelona.
His debut came yesterday evening in the quarter-final of the Coppa Italia against Roma and it could hardly have gone much better. Less than 15 minutes after coming on, he collected a through ball from another new signing in Santiago Gimenez and chipped over the keeper for his first goal.
Things could have been different though, as MilanNews report that Inter made a last-minute attempt for the Portuguese. However, they received a firm rejection from both the club and the player.
This was not only because the negotiations between Milan and Chelsea were already well underway and advancing quickly, but also because the forward only wanted to join the Rossoneri.
