Napoli and Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly on the brink of agreeing Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s long-rumored transfer to Ligue 1. According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the clubs will hold a crunch meeting next week to iron out the final details ahead of the Georgian’s move to France.

PSG made several attempts to sign Kvaratskhelia last summer but to no avail. Indeed, Napoli bigwig Aurelio De Laurentiis refused to negotiate the 23-year-old’s exit after agreeing to let Victor Osimhen leave the club. However, the winger’s see-saw form in 2024/25 has seemingly changed his mind.

Napoli are now willing to listen to offers for the former Dinamo Batumi forward. They shelled out a mere €12 million to sign Kvaratskhelia in the summer of 2022. Fast forward two years and a half, the Partenopei could earn up to €75m. Furthermore, PSG may include Milan Skriniar as a counterpart to sweeten the deal.

Previously linked with a move to Juventus, Skriniar is desperate to leave the Parc des Princes and return to Italy. Napoli could fulfill his wish, but he’d likely have to take a sizeable pay cut to facilitate the switch. Even if he doesn’t, it shouldn’t diminish the likelihood of Kvaratskhelia’s move to Paris.

His imminent departure would leave Napoli boss Antonio Conte short-handed in the front third. Despite completing Philip Billing’s loan arrival from Bournemouth, Kvaratskhelia’s exit would warrant the club’s immediate action in the market.
